A Concert Recap

The Invitation: A Musical Call from Wilf

It’s become a habit with Wilfried—I like to call him Wilf; he’s my point of contact. He’ll let me know if that no longer works for him, and we’ll find another nickname ✌.

Indeed, for my recent gigs with the band "The Heralders", invitations almost always come through him. Let’s say that, on that front, he’s the official organizer.

You have to admire the speed of the invites, though I rarely hesitate to accept when I can. So you’ll understand that you can always try your luck with me—provided you lay out the terms in advance ✌. And really, what musician would refuse a good gig? Not me. Once the details were agreed, I packed up and headed to Gießen.

Bassist: More Than One String to My Musical Bow

Someone recently asked whether I’m primarily a guitarist or a bassist. Let’s just say I manage… like you. Of course, it all depends on the eyes and ears of the beholder.

For those who only know me behind a keyboard, it was a pleasant surprise to see me with a guitar—a real guitar! One of my first conquests (we’ll talk about that another time if needed). Let’s say I donned that hat for the day’s event.

The Concert: A Moment of Worship and Sharing in Gießen

Okay, let’s get to it. I won’t recount the entire afternoon in detail, but imagine snippets of the concert. I couldn’t film myself, so you’ll have to make do with a photo from last March, taken by someone I can’t name…

What you’ll remember is that it was a wonderfully warm time with the Christian worship band "The Heralders" and everyone present that day. As usual, there were plenty of improvisations and a couple of bonus songs requested by the audience—an audience, by the way, that was very participative. It was heartfelt.

Ready to Do It Again with The Heralders?

As a music lover, saying “yes” would do me no harm ✌.

See you soon for the next adventure!
